Jared Taylor Shaw, 48, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Ten Mile, Tenn. Jared was born in Lake Charles, La. to Dudley and Shirley Shaw.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; sister, Chelleen Shaw; his loving wife, Sarah R. Shaw; daughters, Taylor Dunn (Colin), Hannah Shaw, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Madelyn Shaw.

Jared was a Barbe High School Graduate. He loved all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. He was talented at archery, and won several tournaments including a national title.

He became a journeyman electrician through IBEW 861, briefly worked for Amtrak, and worked for himself as an electrician and carpenter. He had the ability to fix anything and was always helping those in need.  

Jared had a big heart. He loved Jesus and was active in his local church.

A celebration of Jared’s life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Freedom Life Church, 630 Prien Lake Road. Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. with service following at 11:30 a.m.
