Ronald Ormsby, born March 8, 1944 in Waukon, Iowa passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024.  

Ron was a proud Korean War Veteran serving as a Military Policeman and an active member of the VFW throughout his life.  After his time in the military he graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1971.  He had a successful career as a down-hole engineer, as both a successful entrepreneur and businessman holding numerous patents throughout his lifetime.  He was a devoted husband to his wife, Ona, for 35 years and a generous man who enjoyed spending time with his family.  He loved taking long drives in his classic cars, including a mint 1976 Police Package Chevy Nova and 1970 Chevy El Camino, always happy to tag along to any antique shops along the way.

A graveside service for family will be held at Mimosa Pines in Sulphur, La. on June 21, 2024.  He will be missed. Words of comfort may shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
