Our precious mother, Iva (Morgan) Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the age of 99.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Indian Bayou Cemetery.

After her faith, her greatest joy was her family for whom she prayed each day for the Lord to keep “in the hollow of His hand”. She had many friends and loved each of them dearly. She exuded a lifetime of unconditional love, kindness, gentleness and grace, and instilled in us a sense of value and worth. She attended Glad Tidings and Trinity Baptist Church. Her beauty of spirit and boundless love are etched deeply in our hearts. A precious piece of life is now missing, but we take comfort in knowing she is in heaven and a joyful reunion awaits us.

She is survived by her daughter, Kay Pennisson (Darrell) of Lake Charles; her son, Jamie Hoffpauir (Ronda); her grandson, Cullen Hoffpauir (Lauren) of Zwolle; her step-grandchildren, Heather Allemand and Bronson Loring of Houma; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Hoffpauir; her brothers, Arnette and Oscar Morgan; as well as her sister, Emma Lou Broussard.
