Our beloved Herman Lazare Jr., age 78, departed this earthly life peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Harbor Hospice Lake Charles surround by immediate family at 12:30 p.m. 

Herman was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Lake Charles, La. to the late Herman and Mable Lazare. Herman met the love of his life, Beverly Lazare. They entered the sacred bond of marriage on Sept.  26, 1968. Together they shared a loving and memorable 41 years of marriage. This union was graced with the blessing of two children, Herman D. Lazare and Pamela Lazare.  

 Herman was employed at Alcoa Carbon formally known as Reynold’s Aluminum for 42 years and later retired, where he was loved and respected by many.

 Herman leaves to cherish his memories children, Wallace Grant of Lake Charles, Herman D. Lazare of Lake Charles, Pamela Lazare of Houston, Texas and sister, Etta Green of Lake Charles. Four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. 

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Beverly Lazare; parents, Herman and Mable Lazare; brothers, Sydney and Rodney Lazare, and sister, Loyce Fontenot.

Throughout his life, Herman embodied kindness, compassion, strength, and dedication to his family. His selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family. 

Funeral services are as follows; visitation held at Combre Funeral Home Friday, June 14, 2024 at 8:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.

Followed by services held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 a.m.
