Michael U. Duhon, age 78, of Lake Charles, La. passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born and raised in Lake Charles, La. on Aug. 8, 1945.

Michael graduated from LaGrange High School in 1963. He went to work for Cities Service from 1966 to 1981. He and his wife owned and operated Lake City Health Foods from 1981 to 1991. He also worked for Westlake Petrochemical from 1992 until 2019. 

Michael enjoyed antiquing and watching LSU baseball and football.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Utise Duhon and Marguerite Baggett Duhon; his brother, Ronald Duhon; his sister-in-law, Gloria Duhon; his sister, Shirley Ann Duhon, and his grandson, Morgan Ben Duhon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna Duhon; his sons, Troy Duhon and wife, Susan, and Toby Duhon  and wife, Melanie; his granddaughter, Lexi Duhon; his grandson, Andrew Lafleur; his brother-in-law, Steve Brown and wife, Jill; his nephew, Stephen Brown; his nieces, Allison Buehner and husband, Jay, Veronica Sheets and husband, Ron, Vivian Hein and husband, Troy, and Vicki Duhon.

The family will welcome the public for visitation at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home Chapel of Peace Friday, June 7, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 9 a.m. until time of funeral service officiated by Willie Bellard at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
