Emma Louise Broussard

Emma Louise Broussard, 73, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles.
Emma was born on Feb. 27, 1951. She was a graduate of Sulphur High School and McNeese State University receiving a Master’s degree in Education. She worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 33 years teaching at Reynaud Middle School, W.W. Lewis and St. John Elementary.
Emma was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to Michael Broussard for over 50 years. They had three sons, Leslie, Christopher and Jeramie. Emma was the quintessential “boy mom” and spent countless hours at their sporting events and enjoying time at the lake.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Leslie Broussard and wife, MaryAnn, of Lake Charles and Jeramie Broussard and wife, Michelle, of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Brooke and Madelyn Broussard of Lake Charles, Jase, Caroline and Elizabeth Broussard of Lafayette; and brother, Harry Vincent of Denham Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn and Charlotte Vincent; husband, Michael Broussard; son, Christopher Broussard; brother, James Vincent, and sister, Diana Martin.
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the lives of Emma and her husband, Michael, will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A private interment service will be held at Consolata Cemetery.
