Lake Charles Police said two people have been hospitalized with gunshot wounds following a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the 1700 block of 8th Street in Lake Charles.

Lt. Brenda Treadway said both individuals are receiving medical treatment at two undisclosed medical facilities.

“This investigation is still in its early stages and any updates in the future that can be released will be,” she said.
