Rose Marie Romero, 85, formerly of Bell City, La., passed away on May 9, 2024. She was born on April 3, 1939, in Bell City, La., to Melvin and Alice Fruge’.

Rose was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to caring for those in her community in need of help. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Rose is survived by her sons, Henry W. Romero Jr. and Joseph N. Romero; her brother, Robert Fruge’; her sisters, Claudia Cormier, Dale Richard, and Regina Mitchell, as well as, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry W. Romero Sr., and two brothers.

Rose attended Bell City High School and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bell City, La.

Funeral services were held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh to honor and celebrate Rose’s life. She was buried at Lorraine-Derouen Cemetery.
