Before going to Tulane, Thomas had committed to Louisiana Tech and Indiana before finally flipping to the Green Wave. Thomas did not play last season and has four years of eligibility left.

Last week McNeese added depth when it signed Zach Session, an offensive lineman..

Session is a 6-foot-4, 290-pound redshirt freshman from former Southland Conference power Sam Houston State. He also did not play last year and will have four yards of eligibility as well.

The Morton Ranch High product from Katy, Texas is rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports.com also. Session adds to the list of new Cowboys coming from the I-10 corridor, a point of emphasis in the McNeese rebuild.

Meanwhile, former Cowboy quarterback Nate Glantz has signed to play next season at Lindenwood in Missouri. Glantz, who came to McNeese from Iowa State, started for the Cowboys early last season before losing the job and suffering through injuries.

In other McNeese recruiting news, Bre’ Sutton elected to re-enter the transfer portal and commit to the Cowgirls in women’s basketball. She played in just six games, starting two, before being sidelined for the rest of last season at Arkansas State.

Sutton had played her first two years while at Louisiana-Monroe.
