In celebration of May the Fourth, Southlake Theater, 4720 Nelson Rd. Suite 110,  will be hosting three immersive audio showings of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” this weekend.

The first showing is at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3. Shows on Saturday, May 4  will begin at 2 and 7 p.m.

Emily Pousson, theater administration, SLT, said that the theater wanted to bring “the beloved galaxy far, far away to life in an immersive and captivating way.”

Drawing upon the rich lore and iconic characters of the Star Wars universe, we aimed to transport fans into an unforgettable experience where they could truly feel like they were part of the adventure,” she said. “With innovative technology, themed decor, and special touches like character appearances and themed refreshments, our goal was to create an event that would delight fans of all ages and immerse them in the magic of Star Wars like never before.”

The movie screening will be enhanced by an immersive experience supported with theatrical, visual and atmospheric effects, she said. SLT has state-of-the-art audio, visual and lighting effects that will synchronize with the film to transport audiences “deep into the Star Wars universe.”

To enhance the immersive experience, character appearances and live dancing are also planned.

Thirty minutes before each showing, audiences will participate in a Star Wars trivia game with the chance to earn a free drink ticket redeemable for any cocktail or drink.

General admission and VIP tickets include a meal. Guests will dine on a Chewbacca Cripsy Chicken Sandwich – loaded with Boar’s Head pickles, ketchup and mayo – with fries. The main course will be accompanied by a “Wookie Cookie.” Guests can request tea and water service.

Themed cocktails will be available for purchase, including: Java the Hut, Flying Solo, Obi-Wan Old Fashioned and Bubbles, Blueberries and Bobba Fett. “Blue Milk” will also be on sale as an “intergalactic treat,” she said.

VIP ticket holders will receive a SLT Star Wars-themed gift bag upon entry and the opportunity to participate in an event photo-op. Exclusive Star Wars merchandise will also be available for purchase.

General Admission tickets are $50, and VIP tickets are $75.

Movie screening tickets that do not include a meal are available for $20.
