Looking to upgrade at point guard, Will Wade went back to his days to dig up his future.
The American Press has confirmed that former LSU point guard Brandon Murray has signed with McNeese State.
Jon Rothstein first reported the move on Twitter.
Murray will be transferring from Ole Miss at the end of the semester. He was a 4-star recruit coming out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Murray played for Wade one season at LSU, averaging 10 points, three rebounds and 1.9 assists for a Tiger team that went to the NCAA Tournament in 2022. He earned SEC All-Freshmen team honors for his work.
When Wade was let go from LSU before the tournament over a recruiting scandal, Murray entered the transfer portal for the first time.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pounder went to Georgetown where he averaged 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Hoyas of the Big East. Last year he scored just 4.3 points a game in limited action back in the SEC for Ole Miss.
Murray has played 83 games against elite competition in his career, starting 62 of them. Over his career, Murray has averaged 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal a game.
