Anna Laura (Hosler) Knighten, 94, was born in Cotton Plant, Ark. on Nov. 13, 1929, and was raised in Sibley, La. Anna went to her heavenly home peacefully on Nov. 22, 2023, with family by her side at Fort Walton Beach Hospital, Florida following a stroke. She was one of five children born to Arthur Blaine and Vada Vickrey Hosler.
Anna is survived by three sons and one daughter, Thomas Knighten of Destin, Fla., Terry Knighten of Lake Charles, La., Larry Knighten of Sulphur, La., and Pamela Bertrand of Niceville, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She had a quick, organized mind, finding great joy in sewing, working crossword puzzles, picture puzzles with her daughter and her best friend, and playing scrabble. A mostly stay at home mom, Anna was selflessly dedicated to her loving (late) husband, Troy Knighten, for 64 years and to her children.
She spent the last several years of her life in Niceville, Fla. at American House where she made many wonderful friends.
