Larrie Weir, 84, of Iowa, La., formerly of Ovid, Mich., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 at home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born Aug. 13, 1939 in St. Johns, Mich. and lived in the Shepardsville area until 1996. Mr. Weir was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. 

He married Sharon Fenner in St. Johns, Mich. on Feb. 24, 1959.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sharon Weir; five sons, Steve and Joyce Weir of Westlake, Lance and Bonnie Weir of Iowa, Scott and Lisa Weir, of Lake Charles, Lucas and Loui Weir of New Lothrop, Mich., and Shawn Weir of Iowa; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two fur babies.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Corabell (Bancroft) Weir; siblings, Maxine Mitchell, Wilma Fivecoat, Howard Weir Jr., and Marjorie Martin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa at 1 p.m.  James McCartney, officiant. A burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
