Duhon named patient care head
SULPHUR — West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital is pleased to announce that Lance M. Duhon, RN, BSN, has been promoted from the position of house supervisor to patient care director. In his new role, Duhon will oversee the organization’s house supervision and patient care staffing operations.
Duhon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from McNeese State University. He brings over 18 years of nursing experience to his new role.
He has been an employee of WCCH since 2012 and has served as house supervisor for six years.
Gillert joins AdSource
AdSource Outdoor is pleased to announce Gabriella Gillert has joined its sales team as account executive.
Gillert brings not only a wealth of experience but also a fresh perspective and innovative strategy to the Lake Charles business network. With diverse knowledge spanning social media marketing, email marketing, event planning, strategy development, and data analytics, she is well-equipped to tackle the dynamic challenges of billboard advertising.
Originally born and raised in Albuquerque, N.M., she pursued her schooling dreams and relocated to Flagstaff, Ariz., where she successfully earned a Batchelor of Science degree in business administration from Northern Arizona University.
After completing her degree, Gillert made the heartfelt choice to settle in Lake Charles. The driving force behind this decision was her unwavering belief that family is her everything.
Lantron earns promotion
Allen Parish Community Healthcare has promoted Sadie Lantron to the position of director of healthcare optimization.
Lantron has been with the facility serving as administrative assistant and medical staff coordinator for over 10 years. During this time, she earned her green belt and black belt in Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
She has served as grievance officer, survey super coach, and has been an integral part of numerous committees that focus on safety, quality, service, engagement, and operations. She has facilitated countless process improvement workshops with departments within the facility including most recently lab, RHC, provider onboarding, and recruiting and retention.
She has streamlined numerous processes within the medical staff services department, assists in overseeing employee and patient engagement surveys, and assisted with countless software implementations for internal operations. She now serves as a member of the executive committee and senior leader team.
In 2022 she was awarded the honor of Leader of the Year by her peers at APCH. In 2023 she was named Administrative Assistant of the Year by the Kinder Chamber of Commerce. She also served as an active member of the Kinder Hospital Foundation for several years and as president for one year before pursuing other community activities.
Noble named to state board
BATON ROUGE — John W. Noble Jr., M.D., has been appointed to the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System by Gov. Jeff Landry.
The Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana System is the management body of nine public universities — Grambling State University, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of Louisiana at Monroe, and University of New Orleans.
Guerrero named executive system director
Lake Charles Memorial Health System is proud to announce the promotion of Lisa Guerrero to executive system director of marketing and communications. She has a wealth of experience in healthcare marketing — in which over 20 years were leadership positions.
Since July 2021, she has spearheaded Memorial’s community-focused marketing initiatives, leveraging her extensive expertise to drive growth and engagement.
Most recently, under her leadership, Memorial’s marketing team was awarded a Golden Pelican Award by the Louisiana Hospital Association for “Team of the Year.”
McCleary, Renard among graduates
NEW ORLEANS — Judy McCleary of Golden Nugget Casino and Brady Renard of Visit Lake Charles were among the graduates of the 2023 Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy.
That means the pair have successfully completed LTA’s training program to continue educating the next generation of tourism professionals.
LTLA was created to build future tourism leaders, develop their leadership skills and strengthen their networks, therefore enriching their tourism-related organizations.
Aubrey Caldwell and Madison Yates, both of Visit Lake Charles, have been announced as part of the future class of the 2024 Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy.
Scott Law Firm opens in LC
The Scott Law Firm, a premier immigration law firm based in Baton Rouge, is excited to announce their new location in Lake Charles.
This new office will accommodate their expanding team and better serve the local community.
The Scott Law Firm is dedicated to defending the rights of their clients in the legal areas of immigration, criminal defense, and personal injury. The new location will help the firm to specifically assist individuals who live in Lake Charles and the surrounding areas.

Fultz to lead arts council
The Arts & Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana is proud to announce the appointment of Cameron Fultz as their new executive director.
Fultz began with the AHC in January 2022 as project coordinator and took over as interim director in July of that year.
During his time as interim director, he oversaw the return of Chuck Fest, the beloved annual music, art, food, and culture festival to Downtown Lake Charles in October 2022.
Fultz, a Sulphur native, has worked tirelessly to grow Arts Council events, such as Live @ the Lakefront and Spring Art Walk. Outside of working for the AHC, he spends his spare time performing in local theatre productions at ACTS and referees soccer both locally and regionally.
