A hard freeze warning is in place through 9 a.m. Sunday for areas around and north Interstate 10 as a continental air mass continues to keep temperatures well below average.

Winds out of the north are expected at 10-15 mph Sunday morning.

A combination of cold surface air temperatures and winds will warrant a wind chill advisory, the National Weather Service’s Lake Charles office reported.
