Carolyn Lois Trahan

Carolyn Lois Trahan, born in Lake Charles on Oct. 25, 1947, daughter of the late Christian Edwin and Lois (Vincent) Jessen, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Her memory will live on in our hearts.

Carolyn, a graduate of LaGrange High School, obtained a degree in bookkeeping and accounting from Sowela. She was the bookkeeper for Allied Glass, and later worked for Montgomery Ward, and Dillard’s.

Carolyn enjoyed travelling with her husband and was an excellent baker. She loved reading, collecting cows, and spoiling her German Shepards.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Sharon Romine.

Survivors are her loving and devoted husband, Jimmy “Bill” Trahan; son, Nathan Darrick Trahan and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Tyler Wayne Trahan and wife, Madison, Peter Drake Trahan, Mandy “CiCi” CynClaire, and fiancé, Alex Chapman, Benjamin Luke Trahan, and Koy Joseph Trahan; great-grandchildren, Tilly CynClaire, and Sawyer Kay Trahan.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Donald Foreman, officiant. Burial will follow in Hebert Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins Tuesday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and will resume Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
