Calcasieu School Board to receive $1.9M for Westlake High repairs

Republican U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy announced Louisiana will receive $5,004,899.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency in hurricane and winter storm relief. Of that, the Calcasieu Parish School Board will receive $1,975,522.91f or permanent repairs to the Westlake High School campus as a result of Hurricane Laura.
“Hurricanes and winter storms have taken a toll on Louisiana, but our communities remain resilient,” Cassidy said. “This funding helps heal our communities from past weather events and ensures we are prepared for the future.”
