Harry Lee McMillin, 82, of Lake Charles, La. passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023. 

He was the fifth of six children born to the late Russell and Dorothy McMillin. He was born Nov. 2, 1941 in Lake Charles, La.

He grew up in Welsh and attended Welsh Schools, then moved to Lake Charles where he worked in banking until his retirement. He also enjoyed collecting and refurbishing antique furniture. He and his partner, Jim, operated Harry’s Hodge Podge Antique Store for many years. He was reserved and quiet and always enjoyed having meals for his family.

Jim’s exquisite culinary skills always meant a good meal was to be had. He and Jim often traveled in their early years. 

He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents; sister, Nancy Breaux and husband, Larry Don; his partner, Jim Guillory, and brother in-law, Bob Thillman. 

Those left to cherish his memory; his siblings, Harvey McMillin and wife, Sue, of Lake Charles, Bill McMillin and partner, Stephan, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., David Arnold McMillin and wife, Arnell, of Baton Rouge, and Sister Marjorie Thillman of Dubuque, Iowa; 11 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews and extended family. 

As per his wishes, services will be private and he will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh, La.
