Cowboys ranked among mid-majors

The Cowboys are finding their way into the national spotlight.
For the first time since the 2010-11 season, McNeese State men’s basketball team finds itself in the mid-major rankings,
The Cowboys appeared in this week’s Mid-Major Top 25 poll at No. 23. They are also receiving votes in the College Insider mid-major poll, sitting just outside that Top 25.
“We are going to knock down a ton of milestones we go this year,” said acting head coach Brandon Chambers Monday night after the Cowboys routed Championship Christian 110-46.
The victory improved the Pokes to 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 1985. They were out for their first 4-0 start since 1972 Tuesday night at home against LeTourneau.
