The city of Lake Charles will host a CEO Roundtable featuring Bayou Rum Founder and Litel Ventures CEO Trey Litel noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the City Council Chambers, located at 326 Pujo St.

“We are looking forward to building off the success of our LC Launch Small Business Development Week, held earlier this year in May,” said Mayor Nic Hunter. “These forums are built to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs, current and aspiring, to hear the personal stories of growth from innovative CEOs who are willing to share their lessons learned with others. I cannot think of a better fit for this series than Trey Litel.”

Litel, a Lake Charles native, founded Bayou Rum alongside his brother Tim, and business partner Skip Cortese in 2011. The idea to distill rum using Louisiana sugar cane was a hit and the distillery and event center remain wildly successful. Litel, is now the CEO of Litel Ventures, LLC, a firm focused on real estate and angel investing.
