With profound sadness we would like to announce the passing of Robert Gregory Regan, 72, of Hinesville Ga., on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, after a long battle with peripheral arterial disease.

Robert was born on May 28, 1951, in Lake Charles, La. to Robert E. and Iris Reed Regan. He was the oldest and only boy of four children.  He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School, studied accounting at McNeese State University and served in the United States Army.  Robert was a pipefitter and traveled the world and United States, making many close friends along the way.

Robert grew up on a bayou helping his dad who was a professional fisherman.  This led Robert to be an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and in his later years, golf.  Robert also was an amateur historian, loving to read anything pertaining to early American history and its battles.
