Debra Faye Ramuar Miller

Debra Faye Ramuar Miller, 71 of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023. Born in Jennings on Nov. 11, 1951 to Roy and Lilly Ramuar, Debra was raised in Southwest Louisiana and worked the majority of her life in retail sales.
Aside from her roles as daughter, wife and mother, Debra wore many hats in her life. As a waitress at Snooky’s, Jimmy’s and Pitt Grill cafes to retail positions in local businesses such as Anthony’s, Things Remembered and J.C. Penney, where she retired from.
Debra loved listening to Elvis Presley and Alan Jackson. She loved going to Holly Beach or going antiquing with her mom and sisters. She also loved going dancing with her sisters, cousins and friends. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, making wind chimes, doing word find puzzles and playing cards.
Above her love for her hobbies and her job, her world revolved around her family.
Those left to cherish Debra’s memory are her son, Lonnie Daughenbaugh; daughter, Lorie Robison; sisters, Ann Borque, Shelia Abshire, Sharon Skero, Judy Lowrey; brother, Ronald Ramuar (Cheryl), eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions be made in Debra’s name to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association or to the Oasis Womens Shelter.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 and will continue until Funeral Services at 2 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, La. 70605. Cremation arrangements to follow services entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
