Raymon Murl Powell, 92, of Moss Bluff, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2023 in Lake Charles.  His visitation will be Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., with a time of visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service, at Heritage Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Old Ritchie Cemetery.  The Rev. Rick McClain will officiate.

Raymon was a retired heavy-duty equipment operator for International Union Operator Engineers, local #406 for over 70 years.  He was also a heavy equipment mechanic for Lake Charles Electric for 11 years.  Raymon was a member of Masonic Lodge, #462 for 70 years, and was also a charter member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff.

Raymon is survived by three children, Jenny Lynn Robbins of Moss Bluff, Raymon Douglas Powell & wife Judy of Moss Bluff, and Charlotte Ann Robertson of Moss Bluff; four grandchildren, Layne Robbins & wife Melissa, Amanda Thompson & husband Micah, Christie Powell, and James Robertson & wife Crystal; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Robbins & fiancé Joel Ethridge, Bonni Williams, Bryce Robertson & fiancée BJ Fontenot, and Dakota Robertson; one great-great-granddaughter Alydia Rose Robertson; three siblings, Martin Powell & Kathy of Moss Bluff, Mavis Musk of LeBleu Settlement, and Audrey Duncan of Moss Bluff; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Genny Powell; parents Merle & Gracy Powell; son-in-law Allen Robertson; and siblings, WC, Edna, Foye, Robert Lee, Opal, and Avis.
