Sheila Ann Ortega, known affectionately as Sheila, Mom, Meme, passed away at the age of 72 in Lake Charles, La. Born on July 10, 1951, in Houston, Texas, Sheila was the beloved daughter of Emery and Della Boudoin.
Sheila was a kind and joyful person who left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and warm personality brightened the lives of those around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and her legacy of kindness will continue through her beautiful family.
Sheila is survived by her loving daughters and their families, Tammy and Anthony Muto, Dawn Huddleston, and Kimberlee and Joshua Roberts. She was a cherished grandmother to Sophia, Dante, Laiken, Lexi, Madisen, Conner, Ethan, Emalee, Kasidee, and Joel. Additionally, she leaves behind six great-grandchildren, her brother Keith Boudoin, her sister Anita Crossley, and her best friend Levene Harmon whom she affectionately referred to as her sister.
In her free time, Sheila enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She found joy in gardening, cooking, watching movies and taking care of her dogs, as well as fostering pups whenever she had the chance.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at Livingway Pentecostal Church on Saturday, August 26, at 11 a.m. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the beautiful life she lived.
Sheila Ann Ortega will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace.
