At an early age, Alan fell in love with rodeo, and went on to become a bullrider. He then became a renowned welder, working his way up becoming a welder foreman. After working tirelessly and diligently, he formed a successful pipeline company with his wife Jeanna. Retiring in 2012, Alan moved to Yellville, Ark., where he and Jeanna built their dream farm. He spent his days happily working his cattle, horses and goats. Most of all, he enjoyed watching his grandkids play and laugh on the farm he built. Alan was an excellent and loving husband who did anything to provide for his family. He was a devoted father, a wonderful brother, and a doting pawpaw who was so proud of his grandchildren. He could fix just about anything and was a real man in every sense of the word. He always had a solution to our problems and was a man of knowledge and wisdom. Alan was a kind friend and neighbor, who was always there to lend a helping hand with no expectation of anything in return. Those late-night conversations sitting in his rocking chair on his porch, sharing his many words of wisdom and lots of good laughter, will be greatly missed and forever treasured.
