John Glen Bacon, 75, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, peacefully in his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Bacon was born November 30, 1947, in Lake Charles, La to John and Juanita (Kent) Bacon. Mr. Bacon went to McNeese State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Mr. Bacon was the graphics specialist at Lyondell Basell Industries. Mr. Bacon owned his own business as DCS Consultant to Lyondell Basell. Mr. Bacon was a faithful Christian, which was shown through his willingness to help others and his outgoing personality. He loved his motorcycles and his corvette and his favorite place to visit was Amsterdam.

He is survived by his wife, of 53 years Brenda Brown Bacon; his sons, Jeff R. Bacon (Tanya Carlin Bacon) of Stillwater, Ok., Michael D. Bacon of Lake Charles, La., Tony Young of Lake Charles, La.; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madison and Rylan Bacon of Stillwater, Ok. He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel, located at 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, La. The Rev. Alan Weishample will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at 1 p.m.
