It is with great sadness and a heavy heart, that the family of Stephen Joseph Meagher, announce that he was called home to our Father. Stephen was born on September 27,1956 and died June 13, 2023. He was a native of Lake Charles, La. He lived In Alaska and survived the “Great Alaskan Earthquake of 1964. He also lived in Massachusetts as well. He attended Alfred M Barbe High School and was a graduate of 1974. He was a lover of music, painting, and prose. He loved adventure, surfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He always seemed to have a guitar handy.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Harold Meagher, III, his mother, Dewanna Marie Buller, his maternal granny, Marie Courville Buller, along with numerous family and friends. He is survived by his two younger sisters, Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Meagher Garcia and Monique Aurelia Meagher Surian. Along with his beautiful and amazing niece, Mariah Marie Garcia, and his precious great nephew, Raphael Angelo Rios. He was blessed with 2 daughters, Alexis MarieShannon Mendoza and Christian Gabriella Shannon-Lopez, who gave him 4 amazing grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate him will be held in Houston, Texas around his birthday of September 27th. A memorial service is still pending for his family and friends in the Lake area.

He is already so greatly missed. He will be forever in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers.
