Lake Charles police are investigating a homicide that happened overnight in the 4100 block of 5th Avenue.

Lt. Jeffrey Keenum said officers responded to a call of “shots fired” at about 12:30 a.m. today and upon arrival discovered a deceased male.

Keenum said additional information will be shared when it becomes available.
