Arthur “Teddy” Frederick Tidwell

Arthur Frederick “Teddy” Tidwell II, 62, passed away at 12:12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 surrounded by his family in a Houston, Texas Hospital due to post-op complications associated with his lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
Teddy was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton. He was the owner and operator of Tiger Well Service and Aggie Supply for 35 years. He served his community as a Volunteer Firefighter on the Vinton Fire Department for 27 years, of which 7 years he served as the Assistant Fire Chief. He also assisted his community through several natural disasters. Teddy enjoyed mowing grass and working in his yard, camping, cooking for a crowd and visiting with family and friends. He will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger and lived life to the fullest, even up to the end.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Tidwell of Vinton; his daughters, Danielle Breaux and husband, Blake of Vinton, and Jacqueline “Paige” Garrett and husband, Cory of Beaumont, Texas; his sister, Cindy Tesko of Orange, Texas; his six grandchildren, Alexia, Emily, Caden, and Mason Breaux, and Madi and Cole Garrett; along with several nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and other extended family that were a special part of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ruby Tidwell; and an infant sister.
A Celebration of Teddy’s Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 1,2023, at Vinton Methodist Church. The Rev. Rob Tibbitts will officiate.
