The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury agreed Wednesday to call a Saturday, Oct. 14 election for four property tax renewals for drainage and rural fire protection.

“These renewals are of major importance because that is what supports all of these districts,” Police Jury President Steve Eastman said.

Money generated from the taxes will be used for operation, maintenance and improvements of services in the districts.
