BREAKING: Will Wade suspended 10 games

Will Wade has been suspended for 10 games by the NCAA according to sources.
The new McNeese State head basketball coach had agreed with the school on a five-game suspension before taking the Cowboy job in March.
The NCAA doubled that number and handed Wade a two-year show cause that will limit his recruiting to on-campus visits only.
Twitter reports confirm that the punishment was handed down Thursday morning by the IARP.
The punishment stems from an investigation started in 2019 by the NCAA for recruiting violations when Wade was the head coach at LSU. He was fired by LSU in 2022.
McNeese hired him to replace John Aiken last March after McNeese lost a program-record 23 games. The school and Wade agreed to several conditions, including limited recruiting and the five-game suspension to show good faith to the NCAA.
Some believed Wade would get at least a one-year suspension so 10 games is beginning considered a victory on the McNeese campus.
The American Press will have more on this story coming.
