A Lake Charles man was arrested Tuesday following an alleged domestic incident that lead to a vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Iowa, according to the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Hunter Allen Lacroix, 20, was arrested on charges of battery of a dating partner and aggravated damage to property.

Deputies responded to reports of a dispute and found a State Police trooper had separated two people on the shoulder of the interstate near a vehicle which had damage to the right front fender.

The victim told authorities that Lacroix, who was her boyfriend, had grabbed her arm and pulled her hair, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and hit a railing.

Deputies observed visible marks on the female from where she had been grabbed.
