Nearly $21 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency hurricane recovery aid has been approved for the Calcasieu Parish School Board.

U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy said the School Board will receive $5,575,760.03 for its administration building.

An additional $11,718,602.76 will go to LaGrange High School, $3,695,659.26 to DeQuincy High School and $1,363,736.98 to Dolby Elementary School

“Our communities are still feeling the effects of storms like Katrina and Laura years later, but Louisiana is resilient,” Cassidy said. “This funding will help us be prepared for the next storm.”
