Clare Rochon Biagas

Clare Rochon Biagas, 91, of Lake Charles, passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in her residence.
Mrs. Biagas, a true pillar of strength, was born on Dec. 13, 1931 in Lake Charles where she lived all of her life.
In her spare time, she took pleasure in sewing and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Biagas proudly competed in Cornhole tournaments with a local recreation facility.
Her free spirited and humbled demeanor will be missed by all that were blessed to be in the presence of her positive energy that radiated to everyone. When asked for advice, it was always positive and spiritually connected. She was affectionately known to many as a mom who never met a stranger. Amongst her many extraordinary qualities, she carried a candid humor. Mrs. Biagas always maintained her family in peace and prayer while encouraging them to always love one another and keeping God first.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 10 children, Charles and Margo Biagas both of Lake Charles, Marvin Biagas of Houston, Yvonne Hall (Leo) of Naperville, Ill., Anthony Biagas of Baton Rouge, Patrick, Michael and Andrew Biagas and Angela Muhammad (Denon) all of Houston, Andrea Biagas (Michael) of Tulsa, Okla.; 13 grandchildren, Erica, Marcques, and Lance Biagas, Gilbert Jones, Melody Hamilton, Brittanie Braggs and Alexis Rougeau, Kristen Hall, Briana and Jordon Biagas, DeAngelan Muhammad, Addison Thomas, and Alaisia Muhammad; 14 great -grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two godchildren, Laura Granger and Evette Gradney; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Percy G. Biagas; her parents, Mathilda and Joseph Uri Rochon; and a brother, Anthony (T-Boy) Rochon.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery with Deacon Elray Bushnell officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until the start of the service with a rosary beginning at 11:30 a.m.
