Loretta Faye Fontenot Billedeaux

Loretta Faye Fontenot Billedeaux, 73, of Lake Charles, passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Billedeaux was born on July 8, 1949, in Ville Platte and moved to Lake Charles, at an early age while in second grade.  She was a 1967 graduate of LaGrange High School.  Mrs. Billedeaux worked as a secretary and also inputting data at Regions Insurance before retiring after 14 years of service.  She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and also attended Christ the King Catholic Church regularly.

In her spare time, she took pleasure in reading and crocheting but her most cherished time was spent with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Barry Billedeaux (Kim) of Moss Bluff; daughters, Sherry Duhon (Stephen) of Moss Bluff, and Penny Zaunbrecher (Douglas) of Ragley; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Reggie Billedeaux; parents, Verline and Clifford Fontenot; and a sister, Theresa Glenda Frazier.  

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  Deacon Anthony Pousson will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 1 p.m.
