Marcus Paul LaCombe, 51, of Lake Charles passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in a New Orleans hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. LaCombe was born on Dec. 19, 1971 in Lake Charles where he resided all of his life.  He was a graduate of Iowa High School and furthered his education at McNeese State University receiving his degrees in nursing.  Mr. LaCombe was a registered nurse for Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital before earning his Bachelor of Civil Law degree and Juris Doctor law degree from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law School.  He practiced law in Lake Charles for many years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Gabriel, Graceanne, Ava, and Estelle; stepchildren, Devyn and her husband Donovan, Brent, and Amelia; his parents, Jacqueline and Floyd LaCombe; best friend and partner in life, Erin Miller; siblings, Michael (Cheryl), Matthew, and Micah (Ashley) LaCombe; and grandson, Jaxsen, to whom Marcus was his beloved Poppy.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  Father Edward V.S. Moore will officiate.  Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will begin Friday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
