Jeffrey “Jeff” Pierrottie, 64, passed away on April 15, 2023, at St. Patrick’s Hospital. Born on Nov. 7, 1958, in Lake Charles, La.,  to Joseph “Joe” and Anita Pierrottie, he grew up in Lake Charles, La., then went on to graduate from Sulphur High School in 1977. Jeff went on to work for PPG Industries. He was someone who loved to give back to the community and served as a reserve deputy for Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department in his younger years, and as a volunteer firefighter, in both Lebleu Settlement and Carlyss, until his health didn’t allow it anymore. Jeff was also a member of the Lake Charles Jaycee’s, where he made many memories and created lifelong friends. While Jeff loved to serve his community, his favorite past time was throwing on a big ole pot of gumbo, or any other good cajun food, and having the family over. If you ever met him, you knew he didn’t meet a stranger, and you too would be invited over to hang out with “The meet and eat crew”. This family man adored his grandchildren with his whole heart, and enjoyed being with them whenever he could. Since retiring came a little early, he picked up computer gaming where over the years he created his own little support community.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Julie Petry, Amanda Davis and Jenne Crane (Robert); six grandchildren, Jase Davis, Lawrence Petry, Taylor Davis, Luke Petry, Roselyn Crane and Brody Crane; siblings, Alice Sawyer, Joseph “Jiggy” Pierrottie, Jerry Pierrottie (Peggy), Joanna Sonnier and Juanita Hulsey; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and friends who were more like family. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Anita Pierrottie; brothers in law, Jimmy Sonnier and Marc Hulsey.
