A 12-year-old S.J. Welsh Middle School student and a 13-year-old Moss Bluff Middle student have been arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center after threatening to shoot up their respective schools.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kayla Vincent said deputies were notified on Tuesday of both threats.

Both boys have been charged with terrorizing.
