Donald Lee Thibodeaux passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the age of 85. He was born on Sept. 22, 1937, to Terry and Elise Thibodeaux of Hathaway, La.
Donald was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church where he was part of the Eucharistic Ministry, Knights of Columbus, trained alter servers, and a member of ACTS.
Mr. Thibodeaux served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955-1959.
He leaves behind an amazing legacy of love and honor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Alberta; his four children, Dennis (Mary), Terri Sweeney (Scott), Brian (Ric), Jan Meche (Richard); grandchildren, Stacey (Brock), Jessica (Jonathan), Angela (Chevie), Tyler (Michael), Jordan (Allison), Gage (Katherine); great-grandchildren, Adelie, Annelise, Caiden, Aubrey, Decklan, Emmalyn, Braxton, Grayson, Drew, Ian, Lincoln, another precious girl on the way; brothers, Gerald (Judy) and Clifford (Melba); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard.
Visitation will start Friday, March 31, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 1 p.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with Monsignor Daniel Torres serving as celebrant. Burial, with U.S. Marine Honors, will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
