Barbara Ann Wilkerson, 91, of Lake Charles, passed away in a local hospice facility following an extended illness.
Barbara was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She retired from Gulf States Utility Company and was a member of The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Lake Charles. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and was a fabulous cook and most importantly a strong lady of faith and prayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sadie Abraham Nagem. She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memories, a daughter, Maureen Wilkerson, Houston; brother, Robert “Buzzy” Nagem and wife Monique, Baton Rouge; sisters, Esther Kordisch, Lake Charles, and Claire Slough, Houston; and nephew, Bill Slough.
Graveside interment service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Graceland Cemetery with Father Rommel Tolentino officiating.
