IOWA – Lucy Miller Foreman, a devoted mom and grandmother, born in Welsh, on Sept. 6, 1930, daughter of the late Ernest and Dora (Thibodeaux) Miller, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the age of 92.
Lucy graduated from Iowa High School. She was a faithful member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, serving the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Rosary Leader. Lucy enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, mowing and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her sons, Thomas Foreman, David Foreman (Theresa), Daniel Foreman (Susan) and James Foreman (Joshlyn); daughters, Elizabeth Sue Long (Craig), Christine Marie Foreman; sister, Agnes Bertrand; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Foreman; parents; brothers, Hank Miller, Allen Miller, Edward Miller; sisters, Ruby Arnold, Lena Sittig, Theresa Corbello.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church. The Rev. Tony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
