Kathleen ”Kathy” Marie Huston LeBleu of Sweet Lake, La., passed peacefully in her home on Monday, March 13, 2023, surrounded by family.
Kathy was born on July 7, 1949, in Charlevoix, Mich., to father, Ernest Huston and mother, Leola Huston Fogleman. She lived in Michigan until her father’s passing in 1952; then they moved to the Lake Charles area where she was raised. On April 15, 1973, she married the love of her life, Tim Arlen LeBleu. They moved to Sweetlake, La., in 1976.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Kathy’s greatest joy was taking care of her family, which she did with selfless dedication and love. Her grandchildren Emma Lou and Daven were her greatest pride. She also loved to cook, shop, sew, play rummy and pictionary. She was the calm to our storm.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Tim LeBleu; daughter, Kimberly LeBleu Bartlett and husband David of Sweet Lake; grandchildren, Emma Lou and Daven Bartlett of Sweet Lake, Kayla Chhing of Bacliff, Texas, and Ethan Choates and wife Amanda of Moss Bluff; great-grandchildren, Gage and Grayson Chhing and Jade Cao of Bacliff, Texas, and Paul Choates of Moss Bluff; sisters, Cindy (Tony) Theriot and Sharon Calhoun, all of Sweet Lake; brothers, Jimmy (Bonnie) Fogleman of Sweet Lake, and Richard Fogleman of Westlake; step-daughter, Melissa Braught of Collierville, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Carol Lonidier and Mary (Tracey) Blevin; brothers-in-law, Daniel LeBleu, Roy (Kimberly) LeBleu and Larry LeBleu; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members including nieces Julie Theriot and Nicole Harper, nephews Chad and Shawn Calhoun and great-nephew Dusty Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, CJ Fogleman; in-laws Joseph (Mary) LeBleu; aunt, Elta Huber; brothers, Michael and Jack Fogleman; sister-in-law, Mary Neil LeBleu; brothers-in-law, Jim Lonidier and Steve Calhoun
The family would like to thank Dr. Stewart Greathouse and his nurse Barbara, Dr. Clifford Courville and his nurse Nakita, Evangeline Home Health, and Heart of Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Kathy.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
