Sheila Mae LeBleu

Sheila Mae LeBleu, 82, of Lake Charles, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at a local hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Sheila was born on Nov. 7, 1940, to Otto and Ethel Richard. Sheila worked many years for the Calcasieu Parish School District as a Cafeteria worker.
She cherished her job feeding the kids in the community and her many coworkers that she considered family. Sheila loved fishing, crabbing and working in her garden. She will be most remembered for her cooking and her ability to bring people together.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Marty LeBleu, Rickie Hebert and Gilbert Hebert; her daughters, Vera Hebert, Becky Hebert and Brenda LeBleu; brother, Larry Richard; as well as nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Chester Joseph Hebert and Louis Milton LeBleu; three brothers, Leland Richard, Otto Richard and Vernon Richard; three grandchildren, Caleb Jace Hebert, Payton Star McFarlain and Terri Sash; and two step children, Kathy LeBleu and Art LeBleu.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St., Lake Charles, LA 70605. Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, also at the funeral home. Graveside service will immediately follow at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
