Franklin Gaspard, age 79, of Lake Charles, La., passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023.
He was an ex native of Little Chenier. He was a CCD teacher, liked archery, and cooking with Paul and Beverly.
Those who preceded him in death are his father, John Gaspard; mother, Lorena Gaspard; wife, Joy “Raggs” Gaspard; brother, E.J. Gaspard; sister, Adia Benoit; and sons, John Charles Gaspard and Kenny Jo Loane.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his long term partner of 12 years, Beverly Beard; niece, Verna Mae Pettifer; nephew, Father Brian Benoit; son, Ragan Gaspard (Christy); daughters, Keri Winzor (Wade), Tarry Franck and Sherri Collard; honorary son, Paul Buller; grandchildren, Melissa Gaspard, Olivia Gaspard, Lauren Buller, Anna Buller, Zachary Buller, and Simon Gaspard; and four great-grandchildren.
The family would like to welcome friends to Hixson Funeral Home, 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, 70601 for visitation beginning Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the Chapel of Peace at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m.
Visitation will resume Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Hixson funeral home at 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at St. Theodore Catholic Church with Father Gilbeau presiding over services.
A graveside service will follow funeral Mass.
