Timothy “Tim” Beaugh, 63, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully at 12:10 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023 in a Lafayette hospital.
Tim was born July 16, 1959 in Lake Charles, La. He graduated from LaGrange High School then furthered his education at Sowela Technical Institute where he obtained his certification as an electronic technician. He moved to Lafayette in 1984 and spent the last 29 years of his career as a Principal RAN Engineer in communications with AT&T.
More than anything, Tim loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a proud father and grandfather and was happiest participating in his grandchildren’s lives and watching them thrive.
In earlier years Tim enjoyed playing golf and riding his Harley Davidson in his spare time.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Cindy Beaugh; daughters, Natasha Eitel (Patrick) and Lauren Darce (Garey); son, Benjamin Beaugh (Whitney); sister, Nelda Landry; brothers, Dennis and Neal Beaugh; and his beloved grandchildren, Cameron and Violet Beaugh, Adalyn, Grayson, and Ethan Darce, and Gillian and Beau Eitel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Belcy and Hebert Beaugh; sisters Bernice Bertrand, Helen Nassar, and Katheryn Morgan.
Visitation will take place in Lake Charles, La., at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m.. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, in Tim’s memory. He was a long time donor to the hospital and would want others to continue to donate for the children.
