BREAKING: Former Oakdale firefighter accused of soliciting phone sex

A former Oakdale firefighter is accused of soliciting phone sex from what he thought to be a minor, according to the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Edward J. Robinson, 32, of Oakdale was arrested Friday by the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Robinson was arrested on a warrant issued by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

According to information released by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Robinson allegedly solicited for phone sex in exchange for money and requested the minor watch him while he engaged in sexual activity. Robinson allegedly made contact by way of two separate accounts, using false names and photos.

Concordia Parish detectives were able to positively identify the suspect and learned he had recently been employed as a firefighter with the Oakdale Fire Department.

The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crime Unit began investigating the incident on Jan. 31.
