Janice Loy Maxfield

Janice Loy Maxfield, age 84, resident of Sulphur, La. passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Janice graduated from Lake Charles High School where she was a member of the Kilties Marching Group. She was a longtime active member of the Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. Janice worked for Dr. Fellows for several years and retired from Ricky Rourk Enterprises as an Office Manager for over 30 years. Janice enjoyed many pastimes such as shopping, the outdoors, and antiquing.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Agnes Cole and a sister, Eileen Spears.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Albert “Bert’ Maxfield; son, Don Maxfield and wife, Shana; granddaughter, Alaina Elise Maxfield; sister, Linda Neal of Lafayette, La.; sister, Stephanie Burns and her husband, Neil of the Woodlands, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Juliette Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Henning Memorial United Methodist Church, St Jude Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice in Janice’s memory.
