Eddie R. Bergeron, 80, of Sulphur passed away on Dec. 25, 2022. He was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and worked for the Ward 4 Gravity Drainage for over 30 years. Eddie enjoyed gardening, fishing, horse racing, cooking and barbequing for family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, Jace, Jenna and Charley.
Eddie is survived by his children, Ted Bergeron, Stephanie Leblanc and husband Jeff, Barry Bergeron, and Garry Bergeron, all of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Jace and Jenna Leblanc; two sisters, Carol Mires and husband Donnie of Bridge City, Texas, and Peggy David of Sulphur; one brother, Charles “Bully” Bergeron; one sister-in-law, Denise Suarez; two brothers-in-law, Richard Suarez and Kim Suarez and wife Pam, all of Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl “Sherry” Bergeron; his parents, Charles “Ted” Bergeron and wife Marie Angelle Bergeron Duhon; sister, Alberta Romero and brother, Johnny Bergeron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father John Welch, M.S. officiating. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home until the time of leaving for the church.
