Stephen “Steve” Joseph Perrodin

Stephen “Steve” Joseph Perrodin, age 76, of Lake Charles, La., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, surrounded by those who loved him. He was born to parents Newton and Hazel Perrodin on Aug. 8, 1946, in Lake Charles, La.
He was a native to Lake Charles and was a graduate of LaGrange High school and attended McNeese State University (He was a member of Phi Kappa Theta) and Sowela Technical College before enlisting in the Navy in December of 1968. He was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served his country.
Steve was very fond of rock music, riding his Harley, loved the beach, tennis, and enjoyed being outdoors.
He was a loving father and grandfather.
He retired in 2006 from ERA helicopters and loved the Veterans he worked alongside.
He was preceded in death by his parents; oldest sister, Elaine King; and nephew, Little Joe.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Suzanne McCann (Corey) of Lake Charles, La.; granddaughter, Remie McCann of Lake Charles, La.; sister, Janice Chatelain of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, Ted Perrodin (Marcia) of Lake Charles, La.; and devoted care-giver, Sharon Perrodin of Lake Charles, La.; and a host of nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
Visitation for Steve will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022, at 5 p.m. at 3001 Ryan St., Lake Charles, LA,70601 in the Chapel of Peace until 8 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at 9 a.m. until time of procession to the Veteran’s Cemetery in Jennings, La., for burial.
