Anna Belle Plumbar- August entered her eternal life on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022. Anna was born in Sunset, La., on May 28,1937, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Cecile Plumbar of Sunset, La. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Lady of Aux. Ct 14.
Ms. Anna Belle’s spirit is carried on by her children, Jerolyn (Late John Frank ), Joseph W. August, Jr. (Erthly), Jennifer (Clifford Smith Jr.), Tanisha August, and her adopted daughter, Barbara McFarlain. She is also survived by two brothers, Albert (Linda) Plumbar and Hollis (Late Joyce) Plumbar; 11 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends from every walk of life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. August Sr.; her daughter, Joan M. August; three sisters, Angelle Henry, Mildred Henry and Dorothy Guidry; four brothers, John Plumbar, Oliver Plumbar, Lloyd Plumbar and Perlis Plumbar.
Anna Belle was loved by all she taught by example, the most valuable lesson anyone could learn how to love God and live a Christian life. She blessed many people with her warm heart and generosity. Her caring spirit and energetic personality entered the hearts of many. She will be missed by a multitude of people. Her love will continue forever.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. in Combre Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
